Dex Cradle 2.0

Targus set out with the goal to unleash the potential of Samsung’s Tab Active Pro and Tab Active tablets by creating a cradle docking system that would allow users to expand their IO ports, upgrade them in the future, and use them like they would their laptop or desktop computer by using the Dex interface. Customers could use their tablet on the go as they always had, and then dock their device at their desk to user peripherals like monitors, mice, keyboards and more. Turning their device into a true productivity station.

How it works:

It all begins with an idea, the goal for this product was to unleash the potential of Samsung’s Dex interface which allows users to interact with their Samsung tablet device like that of a traditional laptop or desktop. We created a cradle system that would act as a dock for the tablet while adding both functionality and modularity for future upgrades and varying customer needs.
